Access control, master key systems and commercial door hardware for Tulsa facilities
Commercial Locksmith and Security
Security designed for the way your facility actually runs
Business security at Tulsa Lock & Key means one team for the mechanical and the electronic side of your doors. We design master key systems, install access control, fit high-security cylinders, repair closers and panic hardware, and rekey whole buildings when staff changes. The work is scoped for industrial facilities, large buildings, school districts and municipalities, where a door that will not latch is an operational problem rather than an inconvenience.
We have served Tulsa and Northeast Oklahoma since 1985 with a full-time, in-house crew. Because our locksmith lead and our security lead plan each project together, your key hierarchy and your card readers are built as one system, with records you keep. Pair it with camera systems and you have one local number for everything on the door.

Keys and credentials, planned as one system
The most common mistake we see in Tulsa commercial buildings is a card reader on the front door and a drawer full of unaccounted keys for every other door. A reader does not help if the key that bypasses it has been copied at a hardware store. We start with the keyway: a restricted master key system means every key is cut by us, logged by us, and cannot be duplicated without authorization. Then access control goes on the doors where you need a schedule, an audit trail, or the ability to shut a credential off the day someone leaves.
For a school district or a municipal campus that usually means card or fob access on exterior doors and main corridors, with a master key hierarchy covering classrooms, closets and mechanical rooms. For an industrial facility it often means readers on the office and the shipping gate, with high-security cylinders on the server room and the tool crib. Either way the records live in one place, and you get a copy.

Door hardware that holds up to daily traffic
Electronic security is only as good as the door it sits on. A closer that slams or a latch that does not catch leaves a reader doing nothing. Our locksmiths repair and replace closers, continuous hinges, lever sets, deadbolts and aluminum storefront hardware, and we carry the parts facilities use most, so a failed closer at a busy entrance is usually fixed the same visit.
Egress gets the same attention. Panic bars and exit devices on schools, public buildings and large facilities have to open every time, meet fire code, and still keep the building secure from outside. We install rim and vertical rod devices, fire-rated hardware and alarmed exits, and we can tie an exit device into your access control so a propped door shows up on a report.
Rekeying and turnover without shutting down
Lost keys, a departed employee or a new tenant should not mean replacing every lock. Commercial rekeying changes the pins so old keys stop working while your hardware stays in place. We rekey whole buildings in a single visit, coordinate multiple sites under one account, and can schedule after hours so shifts, classes and public counters are not interrupted.
If you manage more than one property, we keep the same key system standards at every location so a facilities manager who moves between buildings is working with one set of records, not five. FAQ
Common questions about business security
Straight answers for facility managers, school districts and business owners in Tulsa.
What is a master key system and does my building need one?
A master key system is a planned hierarchy of keys where one master opens every door and lower-level keys open only the doors assigned to them. If your building has more than a handful of doors, more than one shift, or staff who come and go, a documented master key system on a restricted keyway stops key copying and makes turnover simple.
Can you add access control to doors that already have standard locks?
Yes. Most commercial doors can take an electric strike or a maglock without replacing the existing lever or deadbolt. We evaluate the door, frame and closer first, since a reader on a door that does not latch reliably will not secure anything.
How quickly can you rekey a commercial building after a staff change?
Most buildings are rekeyed in a single visit, and we can usually schedule within the week. Tell us how many doors and whether you need after-hours work, and we will give you a time when you call (918) 664-5010.
Do you work with schools and municipalities?
Yes. Schools, campuses and municipal buildings are a core part of our commercial work. We are used to purchasing processes, fire and egress code requirements, and scheduling around classes and public hours.
Are your technicians licensed and insured?
Yes. Tulsa Lock & Key is a licensed and insured Oklahoma company, and every technician is a full-time employee rather than a subcontractor.
